The 21st Century Brochure 2016

The 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) at Tallassee Elementary School (TES) is offering a Summer Enrichment Camp for students currently in grades 1-6 from May 31, 2016 through June 16, 2016. The Summer Enrichment Camp will operate routinely Monday – Thursday from 8:30 am until 12:00 pm. Camp hours will vary on our field trips days.

We will again be partnering with EPIC Summer Camp to provide students with exciting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities. We have also expanded our summer curriculum to include a character education component, an English/Language Arts lesson session, and a Math supplement to reinforce classroom practices.

** Bus transportation is available for students living within a 5-mile radius of TES. Bus transportation will not be provided to camp on certain field trip days.

In true summer camp fashion, we have some awesome field trip opportunities. The proposed field trips for this summer’s program will include: Pine Mountain Animal Reserve and Callaway Gardens in Georgia and the Rosa Parks Museum, the planetarium, and the zoo in Montgomery, AL. We will conclude our program with a trip to Chattanooga, TN where we will visit the Incline Railroad, Tennessee Valley Railroad, Lookout Mountain, and the Creative Discovery Museum.

Students will be required to attend instructional camp days in order to participate in field trip activities. Camp hours will vary on our field trips days.

The cost for the 3-week session is $50 for one student and $25 for each additional student. The fee must be paid at the time of registration and is non-refundable. This covers all activities, field trips, lunches, and snacks. Space is limited, so please make plans to register early. Registration will be held at TES on May 2-6, 2016 from 4:30pm until 5:30pm.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Jermanda Cliett by phone (334)283-2151 ext. 109 or email jermanda.cliett@tcschools.com. You may also contact Eddie Gantt by sending an email to eddie.gantt@tcschools.com.
